That’s right folks, after much waiting, an official Recommended Build of CraftBukkit for Minecraft 1.2.4 has been released. It will still be a few days before plugins have been updated to be fully compatible, but I’m scouring the list and seeing what we can add/drop/replace etc. Some of our plugins will no longer function, so we’ll need to find alternatives.

Which brings me to my next topic: Where do we want to go from here?

We’ve been sailing along with the server in its current format, watching it grow and gain new worlds, new plugins, new features, and I feel that we’ve reached the peak of what we’re able to do with our current setup. I’d like you to all think about what you’d like to change, in terms of gameplay. Here are my thoughts:

I’d like to have some sort of theme. I’ve played on a few Prison Servers that were quite fun. Then there are Faction Servers, which I’ve heard good things about but never actually tried. There are anarchy servers which I’m not really a fan of, but just tossing it out there as an example. Obviously, any veteran members will have the choice of participating in said theme, or just doing their own thing and keep on keepin’ on. Whatever we do, I’d like to incorporate an economy system of some sort, as many people have requested it in the past.

So what do you think? And I’m not looking for individual plugins here, just a general idea of gameplay; I’ll worry about finding the plugins that will allow us the style of gameplay that we’re looking for.

  1. Its been great being on this server for as long as its been. It was my first server and still my main/favorite. All the Mods and such are nice and helpful once you get to know them. You guys have a great Anti-Grief system and help keep all of us safe :3 So yeah…
    As for ideas i think

    A. BRING BACK SKYLANDS

    B. Have some sort of game world (where people can experiment and make games for the server) EX: PvP, Spliefing, Capture the porkchop, etc..

    C. I’ll try and think of other stuff but to tell you the truth the server is great as-is… I just want it to update :D

  2. i dont want it to be like economy like all the boring servers. i want something unique, like……………. how about we all get mob disquise and play hide and seek? idk
    how about like an RPG and/or a creative world and survival.
    like keep 3 worlds (one is survival, and one creative or normal) and one where you switch it up all the time. like every month switch the one world. that could be really cool

    p.s. i really liked the old spawn with the spheres and the paths and stuff, could we get that back?

    • I can see that protection plugin causing issues(people protecting other’s stuff). About going back to a cracked server… basically it causes way too many problems, from banned users coming back to people joining as another person.

  5. Also: ive seen alot of people do survivals in Armageddon versions of their worlds.

    EX: Take the Trusted world and nuke it, make it always noon, hide supplies everywhere, then add loads and loads of zombies, endermen, and skeletons (mostly zombies)

    That way we get a kind of Apocalyptic Survival

  6. I like your Apocalyptic Survival idea Lizatar, but as fallenicon mentions, xrayers…

    Perhaps we could make 2 survival worlds, one for regular survival,
    and one with Faction’s and HARDCORE PVP (and perhaps a /money plugin or something).

    Imagine how awesome that would be… :D

Dude if you added more plugins like iconemy or factions I would stop playing on this server because it makes everything more complicated.what I love about this server is that its not huge and has an awesome staff that are truly righteous.mods like iconomey and factions make everything too complicated and clunky.this server is and always will be my favorite server and I hope that it never changes.
